question:how much is the going rate ?(door panels, dash)
I am new to the 88-98 scene, I have been involved with the whole 67-72 style trucks. I am currently building a 88 style shortbed 4x4 on 44's. I was wondering what a 95+ complete dash runs and what 95+ door panels run??? I like that style far better. Is it easy to find these items at salvage yards ... or they gettin picked over already???? Thanks Trevor

By the time these trucks get to a salvage yard, they have usually been picked fairly clean. These trucks are very popular and good parts go quick. There are already people who part these trucks out so you should be able to find parts without needing to go to a yard.

Actually you can use a 95 dash harness and you don't have to modify very much. To make it really look good with the 95-up steering column you have to modify the cab to accept the differnet column mount.
I have seen people use the newer dash with the older column, but it doesn't look as good. I changed a 94 to a 96 dash, but I put the engine and complete wiring in at the same time. A dash shell runs about $100 door panels are about $50 ea. door structires about $100 ea. dash harness $50-100 power window harness for body $20-30 steering column with out wheel or bag $100 you also need different stereo, HVAC controller, instrument cluster. The 2500 and 3500 trucks in 95-98 didn't have airbags, you can use a steering wheel from them or just use a bag as a dummy on a 1500 wheel. You can buy the 95-97 style wheel bag for next to nothing
