Best/Cheapest place to buy drop spindles?
Hey all,
Havn't been on here all summer, but now I am getting back into the old truck again for the winter. I was wondering who is offering the best deal on dropped spindles for a '73-'87 front end? (going to be installed onto my '70) Thanks! Reid

I just checked with truck performance.com, it says that they usually ship within 1-2 weeks! Holy Crap! I would have thought 1-2 days.

Summit is probably cheapest for 73-87 spindles.
Remember one thing when shopping price......a set of spindles is heavy as heck, and shipping costs would be considerable. Summit charges like 8 bucks handling on any order, but free shipping, so you'd save a pile of dough by not having to pay shipping on those things.

Yes, Summit is probobly my best bet. I have gotten a ton of stuff from them in the past for my '97 Z and had no problems.
Although GMC Pauls has great prices on them! But I don't know of the brand yet. Reid

(SH)AIM is probably the cheapest for spindles... I bought some from them a few years ago for $109. I believe they're $149 or so now. No complaints about the product, but just pray to Cthulu you never have to deal with their customer service.

Remeber, when buying spindles, shop for quality.
There's a lot of stress on a spindle. If one fails, it very likely could kill you, or at the very least screw your truck up if you're lucky. Buy from a reputable manufacturer, even if it cost's an extra 50 bucks. I've been around long enough to see AIM industries change name about 6 times since the late 80's and re-open under a new name each time. They come in and sell shabby parts for cheap, charge high shipping costs to recover the sales price, and have virtually no backing after the sale. |

since your in BC why not try Brislands or No limits customs or one of the various rod shops?
http://www.nolimitscustoms.com/ http://www.brislands.com/ http://www.oldcarcentre.com might be able to get drop spindles. When I had my 85 shortbox I bought the belltech 3" spindles from summit. Nowadays anything that I've got shipped from the states costs major buxs unless you get it shipped over 9 weeks. |
