68 tow hooks on a 72 ?????

Has anyone tried putting 68 tow hooks on a 72 4x4. There seems to be more 68 hooks available and I was wondering if the would work ??

I was wondering the same thing, as the p/o removed my stock hooks (grr) and the 67-68 style are a lot cheaper than 69-72 hooks. IIRC some people said the holes would line up, some said they wouldn't. However you could always drill new holes and "make" them work, I suppose. interested in hearing more about this.

The 67-68 hooks I had mounted on my K10 72 without drilling any holes. I had a winch bumper at that time so there were no bumper clearance issues. You might run into problems with a stock bumper.

Holes

I would prefer not to drill holes, but if needed to clear the bumper, and get a set of hooks at a more reasonable price, then I would have to consider it.

Is there Anyone with a stock bumper that has done this ????
