Do the consoles that had the seatbelt holders come from a different year, or were they an option as opposed to cup holders?

actually i think the old style center console w/ cupholders (like in the auction) was intro'd in something like '74 or '75, actually it was the same console as the older ones, it just had a different front insert w/ cupholders and no seatbelt holders. They ran that way until 1980 or 81, when the whole center console design changed.

ADAM -- THE SEATBELT HOLDER CONSOLES WERE NOT AN INSERT LIKE THE CUPHOLDER MODELS, BUT WERE MOLDED, WITH THE TOP HALF, ONE PIECE CONSTRUCTION. SEE THESE PIC.S JOHN
(& CONTRARY TO WHAT THE AUCTION STATES.... ALL OF THE CONSOLES WERE DARK GREY FIBERGLASS, TO BEGIN LIFE & WERE PAINTED TO MATCH THE INTERIOR. JOHN

I was curious about the availability of the seatbelt holders because I have a servicable console that I literaly found in a junk pile that has the slots for the seat belts. I was going to try to sell/trade it and I didn't want to advertise it as something that it wasn't.

thanks John, I learn something new every day here. I have one with cupholders, and I assumed the seatbelt holder ones did too...but we all know what happens when you assume
