anybody seen this before?
Bought this 72 chevy off my neighbour "Old Joe" He tells me he was the original owner and never changed much on the truck. He's gone now so I can't ask him.the horn set up looks strange to me and i've never seen those things on the frame by the exhaust manifold. Also is that pollution control stuff on the intake manifold or what ? theres wires going to them. All and all not a bad deal for 500.I had a 67-68 bucket seat setup that was ripped to rat sh!t so I recovered them with some terry cloth towels I dyed.(Laid off from logging at the time lol)Thinking about trading for some 71-72 buckets....anybody?

The horns are correct, the heat shields over the manifolds are correct, the 4X4 sticker...I've never seen it in the console.
No idea what that is on the intake. I've seen it before, but I can't remember what it is. The seats look bad ass...if I had the seats you want, I would be boxing them up for you. |

That is the TCS solinoid (transmission controlled spark) originally the vacumn advance plugged into it and it was supposed to retard spark in pulling situations, anyway it is some type of emission equipment Gm put on 72 trucks and maybe 71's. Looks like it has been bypassed so no worries.

The soleniod allows vacuum to the dist after the truck shifts into 3rd gear. Should be a pressure switch on the side of the trans with 2 wires going to it.
