Mine used to be in my bed then this year I hooked up one of those factory style underbed carriers and I love it so far. Sure beats it scraping around in the box. I have used my spare once only.

I had a spare tire sliding around in my bed, but it got flat so i threw it out. Not it is leaning up against our wood pile. I don't usually have a problem with flats on my truck anywan (knock on wood). People in my area are pretty nice and will let a stranger like me use the phone if i knock on the door .

Almost forgot, in all reality to answer the Q, I have it strapped to the bed with the ever-so-important Bungie Cord. (this flat spare looks 10 times better than either of my front tires)

I don't have one; I haven't run with one since the last time I pulled it out... I looked at it, and realized it wasn't even effin' round, not to mention being 1" taller than my rears and 2" taller than my fronts (where it won't fit either due to brake clearance issues)...so I just pulled it and the carrier to save weight. I do have a jack and wrench in the truck, along with a can of fix-a-flat, but I have yet to need any of it.

I think it's ryan68 who put an upside down bed wheel well in the back of his box so the spare could sit upright yet down low enough so it can't be seen. He posted some pictures of it a while ago. It's pretty cool.

Here's the tip.Mrs.Panel has a cell phone in case she has problems while she's out.I have a cell phone in case she has a problem while she's out and I'm out also.So I just put my spare in mrs.Panels Blazer and so when I have a flat (if ever Knock on wood),I can call Mrs.Panel to come bring it.
It doesn't bounce around in the truck,it can't be stole4n easily and it doesn't take up room in my truck. If I ever have a flat I will post the cost of having to have Mrs.Panel bring me my spare. At least she won't have to dig around in the garage and bring the wrong one. ------------------ Deland does Chevys 68Chevy panel(LIZ) "A man and his truck,it's a beautiful thing" "I have the body of a god, unfortunately it's Budda"

I saw a picture of a truck with the spare in front of one of the wheel wells. He had used another wheel well and turned it upside down and dropped it through the floor. It hides the tire completely.

Have a capper on mine, had to use a 2x4 to get to the proper height, cant even see it from the outside because the capper is skirted. Anyway , I put an eyebolt into a 2x4, and bought a spare tire kit for $7,and bolted it up

I think that mine is on the other truck. LOL I have heard that a S-10 under the bed will work on these trucks. At least I have plans to do that . In the mean time I will work on one for myself. ( See below)
