Headlight ?
OK, here's the deal:
My driver's side light quit working on low beams, so I replaced the bulb with a halogen one and nothing changed, so I put the old bulb back in. My neighbor said that he thinks that it could be the dimmer switch. Can these things just go bad all the sudden? It was working for a while when I first got the truck, now died. Thanks for your time! James

Yeah they may not give a warning, and just die.Are both lights dead,or just one side?Usually a dimmer switch going bad causes the low,or high beams to quit or possibly both, but not right or left.

brain child is right, there is no way for the dimmer switch to make just one light go bad.
Unplug the light, and look at the socket. if there is 30 years worth of that electrical grease, then try cleaning it out. Then check your power. Your ground is most likley good since the other light is still working, but you can clean it for GP. |
