i pressed in the cig lighter to smoke a cigar, but i heard a pop from my radio and they both stoped. the fuses on the fuse block look to be fine. any ideas?

I have ran into a few fuses that looked fine. Get a ohm meter or one of those fancy little fuse testers from one of the local auto stores, and test the fuse.

If you have a 700r4 and the wiring is still factory wiring, I think the lockup for the 700r4 is on the same circuit as the radio, don't remember the cig lighter being on that circuit though. If it's an aftermarket radio, guess whoever installed it could have tied it into the lighter power instead of the radio power. Also, if it's an afermarket radio, could have an inline fuse in the power wire, but that wouldln't explain the lighter not working.
