 Pretty informative site From what I can determine they were called Ansen Sprints, introduced in 1963, and they did have a center cap. I bet a set of those would cost a small fortune. Couldn't find a website for Ansen Automotive so maybe a set of caps would be used and maybe even a collectors item?? From the pic it looks like the caps were attached with screws but my wheels have no holes for screws. Now if I could just figure out how to get em all shiney again!

I'm running the stock steelies but had them powdercoated bright white. Hub caps are the GMC stainless versions. I think it looks pretty good and it was a lot cheaper. Powder coat has been on there for about 5 years now and still look great.
Took me years to put together a complete set of hub caps though. Chevy caps are everywhere GMCs seem to be a bit rare. |
