change of heart
Well, i think im starting to take a different turn and approach to Ol Red. Up until now, my plans have been to semi mod it up; mild suspension drop, different wheels, new color. But the past few weeks i have had a change in heart, im liking the approach of making it as stock as possible. Not a complete restoration, but rather, NOT modding it. Like keeping the motor factory (i decided on that a while back), no suspension mods, original wheels and hub caps (which are in great shape), and even when i go to get it painted (in the fairly distant future), get it in factory Fire Engine Red. People at school are always saying "drop a big block in there, slam it to the ground, put some 20s on it" (gag). And every time they make these suggestions, i always feel more like that is the wrong approach.
My shift in goals was further aided by my cousin bringing up some good points. Many people with any vehicle spend more time modding things up and forget about the basics. You can spend 2 grand on things that have little effect on the vehicle itself, but loook / sound / smell cool, and still have a POS, or you can use 2 grand and get the basics done and have a solid vehicle that can still be nice. So, what is you guy's take on the stock over special idea? PS: I just got my stuff from chevy duty in and i can't wait to get it in!
