1970 Custom/10 Longbed FS 40k original miles

Good Afternoon,

I am reluctantly putting up for sale my 1970 Custom/10 Longbed with 40,200
original miles. I am the second owner of the truck and purchased it from an estate in Eastern NC. It is a 6 cyl/3-speed on the tree which has no-rust. I
had the truck taken apart and painted its original med-blue and white factory colors. You can drive it anywhere.

I have the protecto plate, documentation, factory service manuals, etc. I will try to post pics when I get home. Anyone interested can contact me for extensive detail on the history/restoration of this truck.

All reasonable, serious offers considered. I have $8k+ invested (my loss) and posting here first before selling on ebay or going through a broker. I am looking for $5500. Less than I have in just the paint work.

Frank

to down load a pic the way you are doing, it has to be from a picture hosting web site. You can't load the pics like the from your "My Documents" folder.

Hope that helps.

Also Yahoo and a few others offer free pic hosting.

Answering a few PMs

Thanks for the interest in the truck. I decided to answer a few PMs I have had here:

1) The truck has gone 700 miles in 3 years.

2) The paint and body work took about 9 months. I would rate the paint a low 2/high 3. It is the original color(s) with a two stage paint.

3) The truck was stored in a barn - Nonetheless, the
usual rust spots appeared - cab corners and passenger rocker. The battery
leaked and ate the fender, core support and tray. The frame supports are
perfect - the bed had small amounts of rust due to normal wear. The hood
was replaced because someone used it as a ladder (used part). The rear tailgate was replaced with a repro lettered one because the original was banged up.

4) I used NOS parts throughout the truck except for the tailgate and r/f fender.

5) Several people asked if I would trust it driving great distances and the answer is yes. You can fly in and drive home. Everything works. The tires are new and have less than 200 miles. They are steel wheels - so hubcaps
are what came from the factory.

6) The 71 SWB Cheyenne in the background is mine, needs restoring (it is a driver) and if my wife had her way - would also be for sale. Who knows - make me an offer on a package deal. She would love to see the driveway
cleared out.

7) I have factory manuals and some NOS parts that go with the truck.

8) Yes, I am negotiable on the price, but I believe it is priced fairly now. It is
not a distress sale.

9) Yes, you could swap in a V8 - it would be your call. The body work is done.
However, the gas mileage this truck gets is great.

I think I answered all. If I did not - please email or PM me again.

Thanks,

Frank
