I have an 84 Silverado, so Ive heard that only an 83-84 stock grills will fit. Im just talking about stock grills not aftermarket billet or anything. Why wouldn't another grill work of like years (1983-87)? Ive found a good grill but its from an 88 Blazer and looks pretty much the same as mine. Are the mounting points different? I never wondered why they wouldn't fit but now that I need one I have to ask.

A stock grill from 81-87 will interchange. The only big difference is if you have a 2 or 4 headlight system. If it's a 4 light system you will have to rig the parking lights to a 2 headlight grill...
