The motor is an '04 crate motor from GM and the 5 speed is a Tremec.

Thanks, I hope to fire it this weekend. I just need a couple of odds and ends. For some reason the oil filter adapter from my 327 is different from what I need on the new motor...and I thought they were all the same.

Right now, the tranny is sitting on the floor beside the truck. I had to get a hold of centerforce on the proper throw out bearing. Hopefully with that squared away, I'll be able to stab it in. I'll get you some pics of shift location soon.

Talking Please tell us more about this trans setup.

I for one really want to know more about your 5 spd. setup. I am currently saving for a kit from www.keislerauto.com their base kit is 2500 and everything for my truck would be about 3700 for everything from the flywheel back. Expensive, but I have not heard any negatives about this company.

It's a K&N 14" x 6"..I think the air gap intake is taller than the victor jr. I used to have. I may have to dig around for my drop base..

Hey LUV2XLR8, I was in Tenn. about a month ago in the Lafeyette/Red Boiling Springs area on business. They just built a Nestle Waters plant there. I saw alot of our trucks(67-72) there. Probably more there in that concentrated area than I would see here in the DFW area. I saw a real nice black one at this service station...I had to stop and take a look.
