Air Conditioning Possible with Roller Rockers?

Hey,
My '72 is a factory air truck. Many of the original parts are still there. I would like to hook it back up but need some input. The truck has a 454 big block with roller rockers (needs the tall valve covers). I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this? Where can I find a compressor and brackets to fit?
I noticed in pictures some compressors are on the drivers side of the engine and others on the passenger side - what is the difference?

here's my 638 ci tall dart block.....850 h.p.

i made the brackets.....
i used a sanden 134 compressor.....
let the creativity begin

the top is a spreader bar....get it from zoop's.....

Will that compressor work will the all the other stock '72 equipment or will other parts be neccessary?

What did you make the bottom bracket out of?

Has anyone had any experience with the Air Conditioner Correct Align Bracket Kit?

Rage You running a fuel pressure Gauge off that Dual Inlet?

I had thought about using a rear bowl for That but it didnt look like fuel would come to that side when the float is up.

RagenRat, I see you went to the late model evaporator, dryer and orifice. You do all this yourself or have it done? I'd like to know the details of the swap. On a PM or seperate post. I dont want to "steal" the thread.

That's stock. The truck in the pictures is newer body style.

here's my 69 with the same compressor...sanden r134
and yes i used all the other parts from the stock system....


i made the bottom bracket from 1/2 flat stock....
on the tall block....i will take a better picture for you....will post tommarrow

yes that is a fuel pressure gauge on the domminator carb....

See ive got some dominator type bowls with the plug on one end and i thought about running a gauge but as near as i could tell the needle and seat blocked off the other side. when the float is up.

never had a problem....with this set-up....was able to buy the complete set-up to do it.....my buddy has a blown 454 running the same set-up
