door adjustments
I already know te answer I think,just looking for an easier way to do it.
I need to loosen the top hinge at the post,and let it slide back 1/8 of an inch to get the door lined up.Is there an easier way than taking the door or fender off?

We machined stainless steel shims 1/16" and 1/8" thick, slotted to clear the bolts when slid into place. The shims work very well and are easy to install as you just loosen the hinge to door bolts and insert. (Sometimes the hinge will not move as far as you need).
I am not sure if shims are available, but it is something to consider. Jim |

You should be able to get to the bolts with the right wrench and patience. I replace hinges once (one at time) without removing the door or fender. That was really tricky to get the bolts all the way out and then get them started back in again but I did it. If I remember correctly, the bottom one was the hardest.

Well I don't have to remove them,just adjust the door alignment.Someone else has already swapped the hinges.There sure isn't a lot ofroom in there for wrenches

I use a Snap-On "S" shaped wrench to get to the bolts, but the wrenches
are rather pricey so I suggested shimming as an option. They are still available from Snap-On and I can post the number of the wrench if you want to go that way. Jim |
