How about a new set of 5on5 corvette rally wheels, no centers and no trims with new BFG 275x60x15, balanced with new valve cores, never mounted or driven on.
$750 plus new, $600, you pay shipping. |

Sounds like a good deal, 4 - 15x8 real Corvette rally wheels, centers and trim rings for $100...too bad they are 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern. What size of tires you have for an extra $75...235x75x15?
C10's had two 5 bolt patterns, the light duty used 5 on 4 3/4 and you could mount Corvette rally wheels. The heavy duty C10 had a 5 on 5 bolt circle. The heavy duty C10 chared the same bolt pattern as any full sizef GM car of the same year between 73 and 87. Nearly all of those were 15x7 rims except in 1983 when 15x8 5 on 5 rims we made. Too bad they were only available in 1983 and 1984. Are you sure about those 5 on 5.5 rims being Corvette rally wheels, until today I thought all 15x8 Corvette rally wheels were 5 on 4 3/4...learn something new everyday. Did I mention my rims are 15x8 5 on 5 and 5 on 5.5 bolt circle rims and are powder coated? Later |

Next time you run across a GM 15x8 truck rally wheel, 5 on 5, check the date stamp on the rim, bet it has 83 or 84. I have only seen one 84 set, but I know they are out there. Never seen one any older than 83, sounds like you have though. The last set I saw was two months ago which I bought, they were stamped 83. Later. |

Lester, my '77 2wd Blazer I just sold had 15 x 8 rally rims on it...and the glovebox sticker verified this. I also used to have a bare bones 78 C10 (lwb, 6 cyl, 3 on the tree, 4 leaf leaf springs), and I still have the stock rims off of it...and they fit my 5 on 5 '73.
I am by no means calling you a liar, but I am 99.9% sure the full size GM C10 trucks never had anything other than a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. I do not think GM would go thru that kind of hassle because then you have to produce different rotors, axles, trim rings, and possibly wheels (diff offset?) just to name a few...doesn't make sense money and production wise. I do believe there are 15 x 7 rally wheels out there, but I think they were for the vans....but I am not too positive on that. The vans also might have a 5 on 5 pattern...but I cannot back that up either.

Never owned a 6cyl long wheel base C10, wouldn't know what they have on them. Never owned a 2wd Blazer either, so I'll take your word for it that it had 15x8 5 on 5 rims. Around here those are worth some money. Owned lots of 4wd K5's and K10's and they all had 15x8 6 lug rims.
I wonder if the difference here might be that 6cyl 3spd shortbed or shortbed stepsides are different than V8 trucks? Vans had 15x7 5 on 5 wheels, same as the Impala and most C10's. Don't think you know me well enough to call me a liar. Wonder what happened to slammed82? |

My 2 cents
For what its worth heres my opinion. GM went to a 5x5 bolt pattern on all 2 wheel drive trucks in 1971. Same year they went to disc brakes.I am also 99.9% positive that they never produced a 5 x 4.75 pattern for a truck. I have had late 70's trucks with both 15x7 and 15x8 Rally wheels. I have a 1979 Silverado parts truck with 15x7 factory Rallys right now .You could order the trucks just about any way you wanted then. This Silverado has tilt,A/C ,P/S, and factory manual brakes. It has the correct narrow brake pedal and the firewall has never been drilled for the top bolts that hold the brake booster. They were all options that added to the cost and some people ordered them with strange options. The factory center caps for the mid 70's Rallys are unique looking.GM changed to the style everyone is familiar with around 77. Frank

GM trucks NEVER used 5x4.75 wheels. I am 100% positive on that. ALL 5 lug trucks were 5" bolt circle. This included Blazers, Pickups and Suburbans. ALL 3/4 Ton Trucks were 6x5.5" as were 4x4's.
GM offered rally wheels in 15x7 and 15x8 on trucks. The option started in 1977. Van's from what I know only got the 15x7's. GM b-body fullsize cars went to dual wheel pattern in 1977. They used 4¾-inch pattern for standard brakes and a 5-inch pattern for larger brakes. The 5-inch pattern is used on all station wagons, police cars, taxi cabs, and ’94-’96 Impala SS vehicles. Corvette NEVER had 5x5" wheels. ALL of them are 5x4.75". The ones pictured above are not factory rally wheels and are not Corvette rallyes, as they are dual pattern wheels which GM never offered.
