Dana 44 Exploded View Needed

okay im ready to put my axles and hubs and seals and such back on my 1972 d44 differential and searched through my 4 books and cant find any exploded view of this diff. surely someone out there has one? i have one for the lockouts but nothing else. searched the whole internet and boards and cant find. i have the d44 drivetrain catalog and other links drink2mny posted on another thread but thats not gonna cut it. need exploded view of where seal meets axle and which way to turn the seal. also that shows where part pictured below goes. got a big box of everything new but haven no idea where this stuff goes. chiltons sucks by the way complete waste of money. help i got to get this able to roll so can push it in the garage before the blizzards hit. on a brighter note i got my dual steering stabilizer finally and went ahead and through it on to make sure fits ok, i like it, fits real nice. pic below.

no one has a diagrahm of how these axles and hubs go back together on a d44 front? im willing to pay money via paypal for one if anyone has. im at a total standstill now. ive bought every truck repair manual ive found and none show. if anyone knows of a manual that would show let me know what manual please. once i get one ill add it to my useful stuff for everyone who needs it.

Yeah, that is the same one that i have but that one is much claererthen mine. The po of my truck copyed it out of some other book or somthing.

That is a good shot of it.
From the looks of your first post, the pic is part 3
It just slides on the axle after the seal and backing plate.
The tapered inner goes on with the widest part of the taper toward the inside. The taper is made to fit the radius (fillet) on the axle shaft.

You press the inner bearing into the back of the spindle (grease it first)
be sure that it is deep enough for the seal that protects it.
That seal (4) goes with the lip toward the bearing. It keeps the grease in. The larger outer seal keeps water/mud out.

The thrust washer (3) keeps the axle from rubbing on the back of the spindle. The snap-ring that goes on the axle (after installing the hub) keeps some pressure on that seal (2) so the thrust washer keeps them from damaging each other.

thanks longhair that info helps alot now i can start putting it back together, its amazing the info is so hard to find. does that bearing in spindle have to be pressed in or can i use a alluminum dowl and drive it in carefully. hopefully it wont be too hard to get old one out. i noticed on mine they must have goofed up as was no inner seal and bearing is flush with top. pic below

yeah its all history now but that spindle bearing was a trick to get out. i ended up using a dent puller with a hook on it.

Good idea.

Somebody made a tool at one time that made it a 30 sec. job.

I have yet to find that tool for sale since.
