I've heard the same comment on this board previously and I remember having the same concerns with my control arm threads . From what I have gathered the threads on the control arm are just very shallow, not really intended to hold the bushing all that firmly, the secure fit comes from the threads on the bushings and bushing caps.
Thats my opinion anyhow. A brand new control arm would be the same.
