rear lowering springs...????
i got front and rear lowering springs for my truck and the rears appear to be really thin. asked wes about this and he said i probably had the car springs which i do NOT want. i finally got around to taking a pic of the springs... they are supposed to be 4" drop.... i beleive them to be the car springs... what do you think?

I have Eibach 3" rear springs and they are definitely thinner than heavy duty stock ones, so it is hard to say. Not sure who manufactured those, but there are some sleazy dealers out there who might try to sell some Chevelle springs as trcuk springs sice they will lower these trucks and fit.
Yet DO NOT FEAR, like I said, my Eibachs are thin and work just fine. They are simply made of a different material than the factory steel of the 60's. AND LOOK, it appears that these may be Eibachs as there might be a little Eibach name and part number on the spring to the left!

Aint no thinner than mine. Ive got the AIM 79 Dollar Jobbers They seem to be ok. Sqaut just enough and ride smooth. Unless your hauling trailers and alot of weight you dont need thick coils.

Don't be fooled by the look. Those springs will do the trick and your truck will ride smooth and steady. I have those on the back of my '72. Actually the thinner wire is what enables the truck to ride smooth because of the relatively low number of coils.
