are these the same heads as the vortecs everyone is talking about?

14101083...87-up...350..........Gen.I, also used on crate motors, 285 or 300 hp, 64cc

try #12558062 they are 64cc. with 170 runners, also pretty popular.

the vortec heads didn't come out till 1996 they are easy to spot they dont have any bolt holes in the center at all! If the heads are bolted on a motor the intake bolts are perfectly vertical and their are 8 of them.

Motor only:
6.44 1/8 @ 104.13
10.39 1/4 @ 125.83

Nitrous Times:
5.785 1/8 @ 118.65 with a 1.336 60ft
9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!

what people refer to as vortec heads are usally 96 to 2000 model heads. the 87 up were also center bolt vavle cover heads but they are not a good performance head. the vortecs are damn good performance heads for someone on a budget
