I need a stock 4x4 engine cross member to modify for my big block conversion in my 72 4x4. Thanx Dana

hey guys i dont know this so ill ask. 1'st the cross members in ? are for 67-72 trucks. If so. the small block xmem is different than the big block xmem? I thought they were the same, using only different motormounts. enlighten me with your wisdom... Thats just sounds pathetic does'nt it. thanks Todd

4x4's didn't come with a big block, so technically they are small block x-members. The big block fits on the same x-member though, just need an oil pan that fits.

I'm useing a bigger deeper pan so I will have to cut out the center and move it down. I have done this lot's of times.

what exactly do you have to cut the center out of & move. Im considering a big block & all info is apreciated. Also im going to be needing a new xmember, po torched on mine to fit a header. looks like a hack job. thanks Todd

I'm going to cut the center out and drop it down further to except a deeper pan.
