I ask whats the difference between sb and BB engine and frame mnts. the reason I ask is this past week I started a job at a engine shop and we ship and store both types of engines on the same cart and I don't see a difference in how they sit. its the same cart and they both bolt up the same.I wonder because many posts for BB mnts for sale here ,and I will probably put a BB in one of my trucks sometime in the future.

big block mounts allow exhaust manifold clearance. The big block will set onto the small block mounts just fine, but won't allow manifolds to bolt on.

Back when I didn't know they were different, I used sn blk mounts and towers. I had headers though. I think I had to "ding" them somewhere near the a-arms.
