New Engine Swaps, EFI

Okay Guys I am just thinking aloud about a new engine.

Currently I have a stock 350/ Turbo 350 combination. The plan is to run this combo for next summer if I get the truck finished for then, then I want something different. I would like to go to a manual transmission for the fun factor. T56 is what I hope I can get.

Now for Engines I want Fuel Injection, and a Chevy of course. Here’s what I have been looking at but can’t find the production years and models. If somebody has can fill in the blanks it would greatly be appreciated.

LS1 comes in a 5.7L, Used in Corvette, Camaro, anything else? Years?

LT1 5.7L I don’t have a clue

Also what is the new 4.2L Vortec DOHC Inline 6 like. I think it is found in the Chevy Trail Blazer and GMC Envoy.
