Purchased a truck.

Well i finally purchased an 83' gmc long bed, 305 700r-4 for $3500. The truck is a 1 owner Miss. truck and is completely rust free. It is all a plan towards getting a new z-06 corvette that will be coming out this year with around 500-530 horsepower. I am sacrificing by selling my blue 2003 ext. cab 5.3 sierra. The 2003 is payed for so that will be cash in pocket .(i hate depreciation) I will miss the ext. cab and leg room. I hope it won't take too long to get used to driving an older truck,, i hope i can get around 15-16 m.p.g after some tuning etc. Most of all i hope it is reliable.

congrats on the new purchase. im sure that the rest of us as well as myself would love to see some pics of your new ride... I dont know if i could sell my paid for 2003 to get a corvette but i hope you enjoy your new car once ya get it. If you tweak the heck outta that 83 you may be in the ballpark with that mileage here mileage stinks im near the big city stop and go stop and go takes a bit off the mileage getting these trucks from a dead stop to a slow crawl
