Rear End

i have a 64 c/c10 step and i have successfully changed the front over to disc .my question is the rear end . how hard is it to put a different rear end ,because the front parts are from a 1985 c/10 . i bought the spindles from a junk yard and tie rods and ball joint are from orielly's . i still have to get master cyclinder ,booster ,and proportion valve which i will get from the same 85 . will the 85 rear end fit without a lot of mods . think i will stay with manuel steering right now . no big problem there .

a 1965-72 will bolt in except for the panard bar.you could use the later panard bar if you change the frame bracket. www.earlyclassic.com sells conversion kits for later rearends.

those early classic axles will set you back about $300 each if not more.. If you want 5 lug like up front then a rearend out of a 71or 72 is what you really want.. bolt right in...
