I have a '88 k1500 and the front diff will not engage.
There is no power going to the actuator and I was wondering if there is a switch on the transfer case or somewhere else that is activated when shifted into 4X4 to then activate the acuator on the differential.
I checked the fuse as I beleive that the acutator is on the same fuse as the heater/ac in the fuse box.
I am completely confused on what it could be.
Help please!!!!!!!

The switch that supplies power to the front axle actuator screws into the transfer case above where the shift linkage connects to the transfer case.

I think you are correct that the heater/ac fuse is the fuse that suplies power for that circuit.

Also check ground side of the actuator circuit.
