Well after phase one now I am studying second round. Next step is gona be either exhaust or electrical. As far as exhaust goes, I don't have any welding experience or welding machine. To change the whole exhaust system and maybe putting headers, do I need to know about welding or can I get by with bolt on system, if there is any?
2- I have point type dist with messed up wiring !. Lots of broken and burned wires with missing grounds, Don't mention wiring tape every where. What type/kind of HEI system/brand do you recommend? What brand wiring system do you recommend? Is there any electrical book you recommend?

LMC has a bolt up dual or single exhaust set up.

As for part 2, here's a thread discussing HEI's, what they should cost, what to look for, etc.

You can find lots of good info on wiring, and excellent documentation on Mark Hamilton's MAD Enterprises website. Look at some of the articles under Electrical Tech. Here's a thread started yesterday that mentions Mark's solution for dim headlights, but he's got loads of other info and products to help do your wiring right. He's got an HEI conversion kit (again, with documentation) with the right wires, connectors, etc.

Give Mark a call - he's a great guy, and really helpful.

JC Whitney has a bolt on dual exhaust for our trucks.

Has anybody used these bolt on exhaust from LMC or JCW? I have not heard good things about LMC.

n am not sure how much the bolt ons are but i paid 140 for header collectors, 2.5 inch tube, 'H' pipe, hangers, and turn downs before the rear. i already had the flows ($75 each) and swap meet headers ($20) so $340 total. Love the sound, get many complements

From what I understand, they are the same kit. I have the one from LMC that exits out the rear with turbos. JCW's kit, if I remember correctly, exits out the side.

Some people disagree with me, but I love the sound of the turbos. I was also using ram horns and an H-pipe.

When I get ser done, I will be using the kit from JCW because I want to exit out the side, and they are cheaper for the same kit compaired to LMC.
