Score!

You never know what you're gonna find or when.

I'm driving home from work and I'm coming into my neighborhood. The annual dump day is this week and folks are stacking their refuse at the curb. As I pass one particular pile, I see what appears to be a full wheel cover. I stop to check and sure enough it is a full wheel cover with the fake lug nuts, with three of its buddies. Underneath them is four dog dish hub caps. Both sets have the cut for the 4x4 hub. The full covers are almost flawless and have no rust or dents. The rear dog dishes have acouple of dings, but the fronts are perfect.

The only problem is they have the bowtie and my truck is a K10 GMC. E-bay here I come.

A very nice treat on the way home!

It didn't look too bad because they were right on top and it was starting to get dark. I was wearing a tie so hopefully the neighbors thought the pile divers were classing up a bit. I'm pretty sure I was not recognized.

The wife did not share any pride in my accomplishment.

I pulled a 3.5 horse craftsman edger that looks brand new out of the trash a few streets over one night. Brought it home and put a plug and some gas in it and it fired right up. I always keep an eye open for good stuff in the trash around here. My neighborhood is upscale, so there are alot of idiots that have more money than sense around here so they trash some good stuff sometimes.
