Seat question ?
I just installed the floor bracket ( lower portion of passenger tilt latch that bolts to the floor) and am having problems getting the seat to lock into it. The seat stops about 1/2 inch too high for the latch to funtion properly.
My question us, was the floor bracket resting on anything originally that made it sit higher ? I have mine bolted right to the floor. Also, the seat frame has rubber bumpers where it hits the floor that are about 3/8 thick. Are those a correct feature ? Sorry if it is confusing, I just don`t have anything local to look at. Thanks, Bret |

You're right the bracket mounts to the floor and there are rubber bumpers on the seat. I can get a pic for you if it helps. Don't know but maybe the latch is threaded so it can be adjusted, I have to check.

You'll note that on the underside of the bracket that is attached to the rear of the seat are 2 holes.
Those holes are for 1/2" rubber pads to be screwed in place. This will give you the height needed for the latch to catch properly.

YUP...that's how it's supposed to look.
You can get 1/2" rubber at Orchard Supply,at least here in Cali anyway. I'm sure any local hardware store could hook you up though.

That is just what I have....I think.
My problem is that the "male" portion of the braket does not go deep enough into the lower portion to let the locking pin engage. Here is a pic to show what I have. I removed the lower bracket after I had problems, thinking it needed to be lifted in some way. Possibly the Rhino liner is too thick and threw off the height where the rubber bumpers hit ? You could try shimming the female bracket up with some washers.
