Question about back spacing on 8 X 20 rims
I am going with a set of these in 8 X 20 on a '72 that will be lowered 4" in rear and 2-1/2" in front. I plan to run a 275 x 45 tire and I am trying to determine the back spacing of the rim to have it come out close to the edge of the fender and of course not rub when turning, etc. The back spacings available are 4"; 4.5" and 5". Looking to see if anyone has done something similar, if so do you have pictures? Thanks

4.5 should be fine. my 18's are 4.5 and they are perfectly centered. with 255/55 rubbers on them.

i have a 20 X 8 wheel on my truck with a 4/6 drop, it has a 5" backspacing, its a little sucked under but not bad, i would go with the 4" or 4.5". i am going to put 1" spacers on mine.

275/45/20 its the biggest tire i could fit without rubbing issues, you might be able to run a 285/50.
