Look through the pictures of "Sunburn" in my signature. I used exactly what you are asking and my set up worked great. Look at posts 258, 259 and another on post 445. I will say this: I built custom engine mounts that moved the engine lower and BACK toward the firewall, but everything cleared and did not have an issue with interference between the engine accessories and the rack or crossmember.
