Not sure how anyone could get excited about this build........

This will be one tuff truck and I'd love to see what you get into that really needs to put that 12k winch to use! Sweet build for sure!

Are you keeping that flex fan on there? Nice progress on the batteries and cables. Looks really nice.

Thanks! But no, we just had it laying around back when we did the motor so we threw it on not knowing the direction we'd go. But we have since decided to run a clutched mechanical fan.

It doesn't look like it will fit out of the garage. The roof looks like it is at the same height as the door opener.

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab

Crap... We didn't even think about that!! We will probably have to cut the top off to get it in and out... Darn those city folk garages....

Nah, once we get the cab back we will take it to another buddies shop to do the cage and mount the cab.

Thanks! It just takes time... And lots of it! Haha

And we actually made those, but used a tierod from a sprint car as the tensioner.

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab

We've been working on the rad mount a little. Sectioned a few feet of 3"x1/8" sq. tubing to make a top/bottom channel and used 1/4" and 3/4" strips of rubber as isolators. Tacked it all in place, ran the tranny cooler lines, and then pulled it off to weld up.

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab

Question; How many holes in all anyways, fu**in sweet build, and that thin is goin to be a beast! the only thing thats gonna suck is that if you want to change a battery out or if one goes dead, ur gonna have to rip the whole bed off, unless you installed a plate that pulls off form the bed floor? just an idea to ponder about. what are your plans for the interior, especiallly in the ext> cab part. Sweet stereo, or what? ill tell yah one thing though, after goin muddin its going to be a ***** to get all the mud out from those holes
