Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
So part of my project for this weekend I'm going to put the factory seats back in because I took them out so I could take measurements and stuff for the seats I bought.
The rest of the project is to attempt to take apart my bed and fully take it off so its just the front and cab left on the frame, and what I need to do period is sand down the cab of the truck so got this weekend to try and tear everything apart. Also found that on Wednesday we will be having insurance on the truck so that means I will be driving the truck on the weekends!!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Oo I sure do, I'm anxious to actually get it on the road and see what happens with cops I don't think nothing really will, but you know like I know cops have there days.
Also no update on the motor yet still waiting to hear from the shop that's going to do the work if you want to check out the place go to serioushp.com and that's the shop that's going to do all the work for me, all the way from the install to tuning. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Well this weekend ended up doing a whole lot of nothing on the truck lol believe it or not it was a very busy weekend spending time with family and things of that nature. No worries though I'll probably try to hit it up some tonight I need to get it prepped up some anyway with getting insurance hopefully Wednesday got to have it ready to hit the streets so most likely I'll do some work hopefully tonight.
On a side note I found 2 SWEET looking stickers I'm going to get for the truck I'll probably get one here in the next week or 2 don't worry though when I get them I'll show post them on here. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Hey it happens man, its part of having a project some weekends you get a lot done others you don't plain and simple. Yeah I know what you mean we have the occasional cop that has nothing better to do than pick on someone like me or us in this case, but oh well the way I see it is they can't do nothing if I'm not doing anything wrong. Nice nice sounds like you had yourself a great weekend haha!

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Well after a much anticipated wait on my part lol I had to call a few times but here's the final say in whats going to happen which involves a lot of saving it'll be roughly 15k but that will be to get an iron block 6.0 376 not the lsx376 though, all the accessories, new tranny, all the wires and everything that goes into getting the monster installed for right now were going to go N/A and push for 500hp at the wheels and maybe later it'll recieve its turbo and get me around 600hp at the wheels range, its going to get a little bit converted and go to a standard due to the fact it can handle more power and strain. But just wanted to give you guys a little update on the motor now the fun begins to start saving and all fun stuff. so finish priming the truck and then start saving cash.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite
Well believe it or not, the 6.0 376 that's going to be in there and the LSX376 are pretty much the same identical motor just the 6.0 I'm getting is the truck iron block plus its actually saving me money.
Yeah its quite the change in plans but I started thinking about it I want to be able to know everyday that I would go out and drive it, its as reliable as my dd and throwing the standard in there helps with that factor, and they were going to have to put a floor shifter anyway so I was thinking if there going to do that might as well just make it a standard so that's what I'm doing. The goal right now is to get it all primed up, get a new rust free bed, prime it, fix all the lights and little accessories needed for appearance and hopefully fingers crossed I'll have it in the paint booth sometime early next year at the latest summer 2014, but its one thing at a time continue priming! So this weekend looks like I'll have some fun stuff to do.
