I'm glad everything turned out ok for you . I'm really not sure but I think ride safely (one word ) or ride safe was an insurance auction site . I haven't looked at it in years so I'm not sure .

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Spent a good while reading through this build thread and was just blown away by the talent put into it and to find out it ended up getting smashed by some idiot fleeing police was horrible. Sorry your hard work ended up like that.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Got a little done this weekend, trim and m/c power booster all off, interior stripped too. Cab is ready to be pulled off, the bed is ready also.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
So what is the plan? I think you mentioned buying another shortbed truck? Sell all the panels and keep the drivetrain/interior for next truck, or keep everything and wait and see what the next truck is like?

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Since mine is LWB I was wanting to do a SWB, things are changing daily with choices. So far I have not found anything that has peaked my interest. I am waiting for the right one to pop up. It might be a truck.......I'll just leave it at that. As for the parts, they may be reused on my next project, but we'll have to wait and see. But the wait is killin me.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Glad everything worked out with the insurance company. I had Grundy when I wrecked mine. Mine was only valued at $17k, but the process was pretty smooth. They sent an independent adjuster out who looked at my truck in our garage. Shortly after, they told me it was going to be a total and that I would have to pay $1400 to retain the salvage. I thought that was a steal considering I had just spent $3000 putting a new Tremec transmission in it that year. I had full payment around a month later. No major hassles. I will be following along to see what you do next!
