I'm sure any one of us would be proud to have that truck. It is as if new, while being 37 years old. Even though most of the work is done it would be fun for us to see where you go and how you use it. I hope you will keep posting pictures.
Thank you LT7A, and happy new year also to you! It was very slippery to drive when we drove back home from the seals changing service. Because rear tire is so wide and no pins.

Finland is quite same kind land than Norway and Sweden is. And yes, this kind of car is quite different than usually here in Finland. There is too much boring cars in Finland roads (especially in winter), but in the summer there will see some nice cars. I will put more driving pictures when the summer comes.

It was a long time since last time when we did something to the Chevy. We have had a really busy autumn, but now is a bit easier, so now we have to do the rest of things in Chevy. Yesterday I went to the garage and did some small things. I have not a pictures of that, maybe later.

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

I found and buyed this Chevy full-size pickup brochure. In that brochure is pretty much information of Chevy pickups and of course a few fine pictures. Unfortunate this is -87 model year (our Chevy is -84), but hopefully we will found somethimes correct year brochure. Here are a few pictures of brochure.

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

Yesterday I ordered hopefully last parts from to the Chevy (Classic industries and LMC truck) and hopefully those parts will arrive this month. I couldn't find a jack sticker for either of the companies or anywhere else. If I had a picture of it, then I could do it myself.

We found a better front emblem and I fixed it before I installed it.

The sticker is old, I only cleaned it and protected it when I painted the jacket. I couldn't find anything new from the sale so I had to keep the old one.

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

Today my brother removed the diesel injection pump. It seems like that is "J" model pump (same than Hummer and heavy duty truck)! It should be a little bit more powerful than normal injection pump. My brother is going to take the pump to the service place in southern Finland, (500 kilometers from here) because there is someone who knows what he is doing. Hopefully specialist can get more horse power.

Mr Finland the c code and j code pumps are the same except the j code has the fuel screw turned up more with more timeing.the stock c code 6.2 made 130hp/240tq the military j code 6.2 in the cucv trucks made 165hp/330tq if you want these numbers you will have to get a j code intake without the egr advance the timeing a few degrees and turn the fuel screw up 1/4 turn to get more power and get rid of the factor intake tube with a good exhaust and more fuel should get you around stock 6.5 power.and if you haven’t already get the injectors rebuild with the pump

Thank you Zachary17! The pump specialist called today and said that the fuel screw was really small and the pump has something broken but I don't remember what. Hopefully new parts can be found in the pump. The repair will be quite expensive but hopefully it will be good.

The intake manifold is original, but other parts should get more power.

Zachary17, yes, there are also small cracks in our block but many have said that small cracks do not harm in those 6.2d engines. Someone said that almost all of those 6.2d engines are cracking in the same place. So we run on that engine as long as it works. That's the picture of our crack.

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

I installed the rest of the side moldings and the beb corner trims in place. Outside is soon finished, only the front fender emblems are not yet installed, but those are also coming from Classicindustries to us.
