Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

After doing a little looking around, I noticed exactly what you are saying. I think I will order them both with a 4.5" BS. Plus, Im going to be running a Dropmember, and from what I hear, they narrow the front end 1"

Very nice! So will they be that machined look or a soft brushed look?

Thanks man!

On another note... I just got off the phone with Nate Porter about my Dropmember and Im afraid Im in a little bit of a predicament. I have been following another build thread on here and he was also running a Gen III engine on a DM. On top of that, he was also planning on using the F-body accessory setup. Which is exactly what I was planning on... Well, a test fit came to show that the A/C bracket and compressor wont fit. I took this issue to Nate and he informed me that now the alternator wont fit with the rack and pinion steering...
Its really too bad that I cant use that drive setup, because now Im having to buy a new accessory drive system. Unfortunately the only other one that I have found to be somewhat pleasing to the eye is the Vintage Air system. Goodbye to another $2600...

Not a very satisfying day

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

Haha! I wish I could have that gem myself...

AS far as my engine build, Im kind of at a stop too. I bought the cam and springs like in the pictures I posted about 2 weeks back, but right now Im overseas until early March.

Another thing holding me back from making any progress is work itself... We had an incident here and it fell back on me, so when I get back home I will find out if I will still have a job or not. :/ Keepin my head up though!

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

So things got better with the job and I have continued to get some parts coming... I ordered these badboys last week

Pacesetter 72C2256. I wanted longtubes for the better performance at lower RPMS and they just look clean. They should fit right up in the frame, so you wont see them!

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius

Well yesterday I must say, SUCKED! I got a message from a fellow customer of PTS Wheels and he informed me that his order(put in right about the same time as mine) was never actually submitted with Intro Wheels... I called up Intro, and sure enough mine werent either. No order for any Speedstars had been processed at all >
Now, I found out that Intro is based out of Upland, Ca which is rock throwing distance from my house and I informed them that I will be stopping by to put my order in. Yup, that means another 6 weeks before I get my wheels now

Since this whole thing occurred, it has given me time to think. When I think about things, it can get messy! LOL I still want to keep the wheel style, but Im rethinking my sizes. Instead of the 18/20 combo, just going 20's all around. What do you think?
(18/20)

VS.
(20/20)
