Did you say you replace the trim piece around the edge at the top? or just polished an original? I need to replace mine, it has some small pitting. You don't know a source for this piece do you? Thanks |

Thanks! I'm struggling to find a receiver hitch that fits a '72 Blazer (a chore in itself) with the 37 gallon NWMP tank. I would like to hopefully drag a motorcycle back to the UK with me; the roads there are great for riding and the drivers are very bike-friendly.

I have a few light duty hitches, one actually came off a blazer. I'll see if I can't round you up some pictures.

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Here is the one that came from the 2wd Jimmy. The other one I have is the style that attaches to the sport bumper, I don't think it would work because it also attaches where your blazer tank is located.

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
The one thats pictured bolted directly to the frame, the other one bolted to the two lower bolt holes just inside the tag pocket and I believe also attached to the spare tire bracket. I could prob have it shipped to you by then but it wouldn't be cheap because they are heavy!

This is what happens when I get bored: They don't look nearly as yellow in person as they do in pics...

Nice job, those small items really make a big difference in the overall look of the vehicle.

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good K/5
Thanks! Thinking about finding someone to give me a sidewall shave- not 100% sold on it, but I like that it's different and 'period-correct-ish' Opinions?

I think it's the angle of the pic, but it does look different
Thanks a lot! We like it Quote:

No, I wish. I bought a little bimmer to tool around in and just picked up an SV1000 to have as a toy while I'm there. This one goes back in the barn next week, but it will have a new 'little brother' to keep it and the C10 company. More to come, soon Yeah, it will stay this way for the next few years, anyway. If ever I find someone who can cut them, I may do it before I replace the tires.
