Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Bought my truck a sport bumper in pretty good shape (couple small scratches and needs cleaned real good) and dakota door seals for $70 at the local pick-n-pull.

I had the same problem. I used a good penetrant like liquid wrench and locked on a pair of vice-grips to the nut/clip part and undo the bolt. I also found out that I broke quite a few of the "J clips" during the process. You might consider purchasing some new ones for re-assembly. Good luck! Keith |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I installed a new rear wiring harness. The PO did some funky stuff with the wiring and it was a mess. As soon as I get some back up light cups I should be in business. Also need a license plate lamp.

Did some custom body to add tire clearance, lol. At least I can turn both right AND left now. I guess that's progress.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Went backwards on the 70.
I needed a solid engine to replace my oil burner in the Hoopty and since I already stole the tranny out fo the 70 fir the 83, I decided rather than buy another new crate that I would steal this one to go into the 83. So today the 70 was stripped of its drive train. Oh I forgot (at least by yourself) small blocks don't come out with long tube headers still hooked up. Other than that the ole crate is in the stand waiting for the day to do the swap into the 83. Also installed a new stereo head unit into my 2002. One of the filters was going bad in the tuner section, so I swapped in a fresh unit. The Pioneer can do all the cool tuff too; MP3 CDs & Flash Drive MP3s plus blue toothie & Ipodee (don't care) stuff.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well my wheels and hubcaps took longer than a day but here is what I've done recently just waiting to save up some for new tires..I'm thinking 235/75/15 Goodyear Wranglers will look great.
What the wheels started out as: After sandblasting: After about 4 coats of rustoleum and a coat of clear: Ebay hubcaps I bought started like this: And ended up like this to match the truck:

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Truck in my sig ... Been laid up from surgery for the past few weeks. Drove it around today for the 1st time in a while. Sure was nice! That was after I checked all the fluid levels, including the anti-freeze. Good to -20 degrees.
