i was thinking the same , any chance of putting the plans of the oven you build on here ?
there verry few people here able to do powdercoat on big objects like frames i might be able to jump that niche

Installed all new inner/outer tie rods & sleves, pitman arm, idler arm steering components yesterday. Cleaned, cleaned and then cleaned...and coated black, original hard brake lines to go in this coming week with new hoses to the calipers. Need the correct drop shocks for the front and the sway bar and the front is done other the wheels. Pics coming.

electrics here are 220 volts one phase or 380 3 phase so i prolly need to find my own electric heaterstuff just need to know how hot the oven needs to become to make the powdercoat set

Most powder flows at 385-400 degrees. I have (3) 3100 watt elements.

I use a smaller "home style" oven for all smaller parts. I would recommend starting with a smaller oven and get the process all down before doing the big oven build. Most parts will fit in a home oven.

thanks for the link , from wat i see on the website its pretty simple to construct i might even poprivit it together using those metal plasterboard profiles and sheetmetal on both sides holding in sheetrock .
i might use a gasheater allthough i need to find a way to only let heat and not open flames get in contact with the fumes

Well made up my mind and ordered my front wheels. Lots of mind warp in making this decision but came up with I really love the look of the "old school" 15" wheel. This is a brand new wheel from CenterLine called the "Qualifier", drag race influenced 5 star style. I am running 15x8's on the front with 4.5" backspace. Will be ordering 15x10's maybe 15x12's for the back when I finish the complete rolling front. Love to hear what you think about my wheel choice....and right now $212 a wheel! They said I will have them on the 30th!

From what I can see, they only are made in 15". Thanks Glock for the wheel approval!!! I likes em' too! Just wanted to keep it somewhat simple with the 15's. The 20's are nice but added too much bling for what I am trying to achieve here.

The SS cragars still are my favorite on these old trucks.

With the front frame/suspension almost complete and moving to the back... ECE boxed Trailing Arms showed up yesterday and are now painted to match the frame. Getting ready to powder coat the rear differential in gloss black. Frame needs a good dusting off, LOL!

Rear diff...all cooked up w/ Mirror Gloss Black. 400 degrees w/ 15 min cure/cook time. Also powder coated Glocks rear disc brake brackets.

Decision made yesterday....drum roll...LOL... Sold the ECE Big Block 2" lowering springs to a friend...then on the phone with Suicide Doors RE7's on the corners. Should be fun because I have never bagged a truck before! Gonna learn...little notch in the frame...all that jazz!

there's a ton of info on the web about how to go at it RE7's are a realy good choice , i've bought them for my project too , the little notch shouldn't be too mush of a problem , i would worry more about the room (cups) you need to make in the bottom a arms and the springholder at the top in the front .
i was dreading it so mush (won't trust myself welding suspensionparts ) i bought one of those famous dropmembers by porterbuild and a set of strongarms that he so kindly adapted for use with one ton spindles .
it should be a pretty straight forwarth thing for me now only have to make a small notch near the dropmember to clear the steering

Centerline 15x8 Qualifier wheels arrived yesterday, had to set them on the spindles and take a look. Now to determine the right tire size. Also going to remove springs for plate and cup RE7 bag install. Aluminum heads are at Smith Racing having the correct valve springs installed to accomodate my cam/lift.

Scored a pair of complete 97' Camaro calipers on Ebay...and in true OverKill fashion dismantled them, ordered two caliper rebuild kits from Rock Auto, blasted them, powder coated and reassembled. Not too bad ehhh?
