Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Just got my newly painted front fender on even though it doesn't match its better than the old blue it was. Also left the dents in it on purpose to keep it looking like an old truck until i get the money to fix it right.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Thanks 67Cheby!! Yea thats my grandpas 68. When he passed he left it to my dad and me. Its all original except for a 283 in place of the inline 6 from the factory. He bought it brand new in 68 and when he drove it off the showroom floor he took it over to some place that did undercoating back then and it has zero rot anywhere. Im trying to get mine back on the road so i can get started on it so it stays that way. Mines been down going on 7 years since it seems that life and money always seem to find there way into the mix.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Bought the Mother's Clay stuff and cleaned the hood good on my 71. Now just need to finish the rest of the truck with it. The hood is slick again like it was when painted.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Thanks. Lots of hours in stripping/prep. Didn't keep track but I bet 30+. Black is spi epoxy. First time spraying anything and I must say it went on easy and looks nice.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I have been working in attaching the new bracket converting my 67 cab to 72 gas pedal linkage. I did not realize the problem otherwise I would have welded in the holes in firewall. I used longer screws to attach bracket and put rubber washer and steel washer to cover holes. I have also been restoring the steerring column and fixing a exhaust manifold. New harness and radio should be here soon.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Helped a friend remove the cowl and windshield from my parts 'burb so he can use it for some patch panels for his 71. The 'burb is an old rust bucket and other than making a decent storage shed, it's getting to be a donor for several other trucks!
