Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Mud flap time. I kinda like em. I live in the sticks and have miles of dirt road to get to a highway... soooo, flaps it is. Wanted somethin different again. Scratched my head for a bit and came up with this. These are my old fender badges, and a set from my parts truck. Not show quality, but good enough for mud flaps. They're held on to fenders with the weak trim nuts. Wanted something stronger. Measured the studs, and a 10-24 die cuts perfect threads in these. Drilled holes in flaps, secured with locknuts, and slammed them on the truck. I also ordered flowmaster #815937 3" exhaust kit today... and a set of 3" Flowmaster super 10's.... Yup. Super 10's.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Flaps will be a cool touch. My boy had the 10's on his S10. Got an anonymous letter from a neighbor.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf-yQvmeT28 I'm just finishing my 2-1/2" exhaust and have 10's installed Anxious to hear yours!

That's what it's called.
Not usually a huge fan of flaps, but you have to keep that black paint protected. Those flaps look great on that truck.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
Soooo... a co-worker of mine is a wood hobby/carpenter dude. Made a trade with him. He wanted a fany post for his mailbox, and I want truck boards. Fullfilled my end of the deal... back to him as soon as I decide on what type of wood for the bed. Felt a bit rusty gettin back into the artsy stuff... he was happy with it.

Re: Project NiteMare-1970 C10 LWB build
As for truck stuff... ran a fuel filler line to re-located tank. Will incorporate filler into driver's side wheel tub I think. New wheel tubs, outer window seals, metal bed strips and bolt kit enroute. 3" stainless flowmaster exhaust and super 10 series mufflers arrived. After numerous burns.... its tacked up with an "H" pipe in place, and welding it home as we speak.
