Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I seem to have lost the ability to embed YouTube videos. Has it changed from the way it used to be?

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
Glad you did not sell it and things are looking Brighter for you.
Your Write-up and pictures help me get started with my dually fenders on a fleet side bed. I also plan to use Hydro-boost. I can't help you with the U-tube video's. I hope someone can. Looking forward to a video .

If you haven't solid mounted your rear fenders yet, I'd recommend maybe doing it a little differently than I did - or least doing it better than I did. Back then all I had was a crappy flux core welder (plus I'm a much better welder now) and I got some warpage where I welded the tabs on. I'm going to redo mine with '67 stepside fenders, and I'm thinking of gluing the tabs on this time, or buying a spot welder. I'm glad you did too! The years of working 70-80 hours a week kinda kept me away from here for a long time. I'd lurk occasionally, but it was kinda depressing knowing I had sold most of my trucks, and didn't have time to work on the ones I still had.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
Your Simulators looks great.
I have not solid mounted my rear step fenders yet. Which reminds me I needs to update my build thread. I would like to see pictures when you redo it with the 67 step fenders. If you can. That what mine are 67 fenders.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
Things got much tighter after the battery box went in. I’ve git to decide which of these setups for the air cleaner I want to go with. This:

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I think the first pic w/o the elbow is the cleanest but then again not sure how hot the front of the turbo gets so the elbow might provide some temperature relief.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
That was my concern as well. I like the way it looks coming straight off the turbo, but I worried about the heat also.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I posted some of these pics on the main board, but I figured I’d catalog the latest work here on the build thread.
I made spacers to get the alternator positioned correctly and got the correct length bent figured out. I’ll go back and get another one now that I have it right. That will give me twin Hydroboost and alternator belts. The HumVee crank and water pulley caused a lot of alignment issues, but I'm glad to have the extra belts. The single V belts on my CUCV and always squeaking, no matter what I do. I also figured a way to bend the ‘67 - 68 side molding to wrap around the dually humps. I’m happy with the way that turned out.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I got another belt today, so I have the twin belts to the alternator and Hydroboost pump. I’m hoping this eliminates the dreaded belt squeal associated with the normally V-belt 6.2’s.

Re: 67 C-30 Dually pickup build.
I found out that ‘67 did not have provision for the auxiliary battery tray, but 2 existing holes did line up. I added the 3 additional holes and mounted it.
