It's not a Sure Fit unit, it's a Gen II and I have it as high as I can get it...hope this helps you.

I have the gen IV sure fit vintage air unit, and moved it from the instructed mounting location to as high as it goes without modifying the cowl and it still hangs below about 4", even at this height you loose your entire glovebox. If you want it flush you would have to cut out your entire cowl, and run customs lines to the unit.

Keith - when I built the Blazer I used Lizardskin which is a spray in sound deadener. Is there a reason you use Damplifier instead of a "spray on" product?

We've used Lizardskin in the past and it's a good product but the damplifier is a more user friendly product in my eyes. We've had good results with both products but I just prefer the second skin.

Are you running the standard front porterbuilt a-arms or the narrower version (-1"). Just curious with the front backspacing on the wheels.

I looked last night on my spare drive and I don't have any pictures of the carrier bearing spacer I made. We are about to make one but that doesn't help you... Sorry....
