Nice I like that 70's GT wheel . I have one that was in my '67 Stepside when I sold it. I got it back when I bought the frame and other parts from the guy I sold it to. He only used the cab and hood for a Tahoe frame with LS . My '67 horn cap fits it.

Nice.
No. It was in the truck when I bought it in 1997 but I got it back with the buy back . Not sure if I'll use it this time around. Saving it in a box for now.

The 67/68 [and earlier] steering wheels got sticky in high humidity because of their composition. They were a ''Composition'' of ground Walnut shells and glue. [The same Composition they used for first generation skateboard wheels.]
For some reason, in high humidity water vapor was absorbed into the wheel, and some of the glue wept out. I learned from frends in San Diego, if you rubbed the wheel with surf board wax, the stickyness was countered.

With the newer style two-arm wheel in Model Year 1969, the steering wheels were cast in Cycolac, a tough plastic that bowling balls are also made of. '69 / '72 wheels should not get sticky.

Scrubbed it off and went to a car show. Left the driver's door window down and someone threw a flyer about a future car show in. #litter

Member #Richard and I had a good time chatting and looking at the old iron. Had burgers at the Rock and Roll Cafe, too. I saw several examples of vehicles I had and never should have sold.

I should try to catch up with you guys at a car show sometime. It's been a long time since I've been to car shows.

First Saturday of the month, starts at 4 PM. Everyone is welcome! No show in July this year, there's a big one in Moorpark.
