Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I guess you could say I'm a newbie here. Anyways, here's my '72 C10 long bed with a 383 backed by a 700R4. Automatic. Not sure how to post pics or even it will work, but it's primed black faded to a grey. cherry bombs right off the headers. black tinted windows. diamond plated tool box.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
That was back in '07. Truck still looks the same except with very, very bad knock and seems to not even turn over before it gets hung up on something.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I bought mine 7/31/09. I quickly put new brakes, shocks, fuel pump, changed all the oil, and did anything and everything I could to make my 69 chevy c10 307 4speed run and be able to drive to school my senior year. I'll have to get some pics up here sometime of all the work I've done on it so far. It's come along way. I drove it pretty much everyday my senior year and I'm currently driving it 50 miles round trip to college everyday!

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
old blue I'm diggin the engine! Very very clean! I love the paint on it too! It looks like it's a project. The baby painted grille is very appealing to me, I'm not sure if I've ever seen that before *not that I can remember. Well I should maybe have worked on the outside of my truck or done some exhaust before I redid the interior in my truck, cuz my truck doesn't really appeal to many girls. Or else maybe it looks so good that the women just can't get close to it! lol jk

haha, thanks, its leaked a lil oil now, chipped paint etc, but still looks ok
Haha, mines not appealing to much of anyone..Im about to do some cheap bodywork and spraybomb it 1 color. Thinkin a flat red baby blue, or green.... Oh, and the engine bay is way cleaner..lol and heater hose goes to heater and not doubling back... And the hoods on..

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I graduated from high school last year and I drove my 68 c-10 4x4 since sophmore year. Only when the weather permitted. I have a fully rebuilt 305 boared out to be a 307. 4 inch suspension lift and front disc brack swap. Now I am working on the body. The box is curently at the sandblast shop and should be getting body work this week. I will get some pics up of it later. I still drive it college on a regular basis as well. Matt

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Heres my 70 that I have been rebuilding since May 2009. Im a senior in highschool and I did every bit of the work myself. I get compliments everytime I drive it, and the straight pipes scare people every time I fire it up. Whats not to love about that? Oh, and Itll smoke any Duramax/Cummins/Powerstroke/Mustang that all the "daddy's money" kids have, so its a winner in my book.
Anyone can buy a custom truck, but when you build it with your own 2 hands, and see it outperform a 20,000-30,000 dollar vehicle that someone else bought, you cant help but smile!

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Yeah I agree. Its pretty annoying hearing all the guys talk about, "cummins this, cummins that", blah blah blah. I just laugh and say, 0-40 in six weeks? cool. Blake smoke? That looks really sweet when your foot's on the floor and your trucks sittin still... Ill take my old 350 anyday over a slow and smokin diesel.
