Cool Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I got the new tires in... but still waiting for the wheels. But I got the rest of the wood sanded down and ready for final prep for sealing. Mocked the rear tires up and cut the wood as needed to clear these monsters.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Finally finished my cab mount conversion from the floating mounts to the solid mounts. Rolled her out dusted her off wiped her down and took off to fill the tank with some fresh gas after sitting all winter, and promptly ran out of gas. I guess the guage isn't that accurate after all.

Wow you guys have been busy =)....

Finally got around to doing some work on my chevy. Sanded the floor boards and discovered very little rust and just painted lightly so it wouldnt rust.....Mock up my Lokar shifter to see the Height(High Hump as you can see), and got my fleetside bed ready to make a Smart Truck LOL.....Actually going to use side panels from my first bed to make a SB Fleet from my '61...Step side bed doesnt do it for me....Oh and I felt like a kid when I found my bow tie shifter knob that I thought I gave away Lokar Knob adapter Here I come....

Keep up the great work, you all inspire me!!!

Hey I got an idea for a 6 door ultra crew cab and that bed would be perfect.... I just need about 22" and yours looks like it fits the bill...

Washed the truck along with the other two cars early thing this morning before the temperature climbed up in the 80’s.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Packed the chinese rad up to ship back to Ledfoot, both tanks are too deep (front to back), only way to fit it in would be to modify the cradles on the bottom, and the bracket on the top. Rad was also about 2" narrower than the original. Dropped my rad off at a rad shop for a re-core.

Also installed new speakers in the doors, PO already carved up the doors... Used the foam baffles, protection from water, and improved sound.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Awesome Keith! Drove mine to work today as well, I am in sales, so I was in and out of her all day (the truck).

Found some steel rally wheels I like, bought 5 of them (need to remove and return the rubber). They are 15x8, going to blast them, paint them black, and get some fresh rubber on them for now. May add beauty rings, and center caps at some point. Shot of the rad, re-cored, and back in for ya too.

Didn't actually do anything to the truck, but after a lot of research received my new Precision brand windshield gasket today for the stainless trim install. Woohoo!

Replaced my tired, bent and leaky trans dip stick and tube. I installed a flexible one and have it mounted on the firewall..
