The Bus Type Heater does the same as a stock Block Heater. You plug the 110V plug into a electrical socket and it will heat the engine and heater coil. Anything that comes into contact with antifreeze will be heated. Great for cold winter months start up.
My advise is to tear any wiring that doesn't come from the factory out of the truck and if necessary start over. Used Scrap Northern trucks have better wiring harnesses than southern trucks as there not dried out from the heat. The switch on the dash is the one mounted under the dash to the right of the steering column? Get yourself a 63 Shop Manual. The American Version has less illustrations than the Canadian version apparently. I have a spare if you need one.

Unity Spotlight Bracket#31.
They came with a tapered rubber wedge for 60-63 Chevy trucks. They were used on other vehicles as well. Take a look for these when you spot an old Fire Truck. Please tell me the hubcaps hanging on the wall, in post#28, are not from this truck? Original spiral rear shocks!

Here's the switch, also I forgot to mention I did replace the voltage regulator. I like to start with the most expensive and hardest part to replace then work backwards only to find its a loose wire, the wife loves that stuff! |

it appears that in picture #16 that it still had the original factory steel wheels. Those are probably the factory hubcaps and I have been looking for a set of factory 8 lug wheels and caps for my 64 single wheel 1 ton 4x4 military truck. Who would think he would take them off....

63 4WD. did not come from the factory with hubcaps. All my literature states they did not, nor do you see any factory photo's with them on.

I posted awhile back that my battery would die if I turned the headlights on after driving for about 30-40 min. I went back and pulled all the plow wiring out from the headlights and re grounded the lights, took the family for a drive, turned on the headlights and bam the volt gauge drops! Turned on the heater and bam, the gauge drops all the way! Made it home with lights almost completely gone, backed into the garage, turned it off and of course no juice to start. I have replaced the alt and voltage regulator, but I am wondering if the alt is no good? Could my belt have anything to do with this? I fabed my own power steering bracket and am running a double pulley on the alt to the steering pump if this means anything. Thanks for the help.
