Re: New guy here..........Starting another build
Yes, using the spacers will throw it off slightly and since i am a very "nit picky" kind of person i wanted it to be perfect. This way really allows you to line everything up true and straight.

Re: New guy here..........Starting another build
Sorry, i didn't take any during. You can cut it wherever you like. I cut the 86 piece about 1/2 around the perimeter of the mounting holes. I cleaned it up real good, put it against my 64 and scribed the edges with a piece of soapstone. With the sector bolted to the new piece, I ran a bolt thru the aft hole on my frame, pulled the new piece and sector up snug so i could get the angle correct. Once i did this, i made a mark on the new piece and my frame. Removed everything and started cutting. Since the top and bottom are indented you may have to trim the frame a couple times to get a good fit. Make sure you use the bottom aft hole on your frame and the new piece. That has to be your benchmark for getting everything back in the right place.

Re: New guy here..........Starting another build
Got a little more done today. With the help of Captainfab i now have the pinion angle set, axle perches tacked in place and the track bar tacked in place. Finally, the rear end is done with the exception of welding everything out. I will hopefully have the brake lines, fuel lines and steering all hooked up in the next week or so.
