LOL I laugh everytime I see that hack job. I could have been BD'ed by getting raised crossmembers and be almost as low. He cut his roockers, that makes a bd look horrible.

Looks like to actually use the gas filler you'd have to maneuver the pump under the bedrails and then angle it into the filler. Nice work.

low87, dont forget our seats sit on a hump, so technically if he moved the tanks, there is about 6" there you could bodydrop before sacrificing headroom..

I can't imagine someone moving all of the floorboard except the seat hump. Besides, if you did that you'd be sitting on the floor, not exactly exceptional leg room.

like i said in my original post, you don't need to body drop 'unless you want to lay door' which that truck is doing. i honestly don't see the point of body droping it so you can take the rockers off and lay door. if the rocker is already touching the ground, why keep taking more sheet metal off and bding it lower. whats next, cutting half the door off and body dropping it 2 more feet so you can lay winshield? i honestly don't see the point. but its your ride, so just build it the way you want it to be not how others think it will look cool. there is alway someone who gonna be lower, faster, ect.

Yah I have seen this truck twice in Phoenix and it is pretty pointless to do that much work with a body drop and everything when you could do it much more professionally with other methods. The thing looks like junk with they raised bed floor, two toned primer "barf" paintjob and those "Custom LED lights" lol. But if it makes the guy happy, I guess he can go for it.... but its definately not for me.

Oopps... in my original post earlier I didn't proof read very well. I meant to say I agree w/the MAJORITY, there's no need to body drop to lay rail. Sorry for any confusion.

A stock floor bodydrop actually relocates where the cab mounts are in addition to notching the frame in the cab area. This is what I was going to do w/my 67 (stock floor bodydrop). It doesn't change the headroom space @ all, it does however require the trans tunnel be raised/modified.

Like Low84 and I said there's still no need w/ new crossmembers, which is much easier and less time consuming. :read:

Hey man, although we all suggested "NO" on the body drop, we were just having fun with the truck pics we saw...no one here was taking attacks against you...just that hideous truck.

Everybody has an opinion, you asked, we provided it.

We try not to dis-respect each other, don't take it personal. You are more than welcome to stick around (and we want you too), you will catch on, and before you know it you will be giving opinions on topics as well...whether it be good or bad.
