Re: steering wheel pics

I went for something in the 15.5" range. I found this at a local auto parts store for $139:

Re: steering wheel pics

Ok I dug this up from the recent archived posts. I need a little help. When I bought the truck it had what seems like 8" steering wheel on it. It's actually larger than that. But the problem I'm having is that I can't see turn signals or even the Speedometer the wheel on the truck just covers all of that up and you have to move around to see everything. I HATE IT.

So I actually found a good 60-65 custom wheel that I want to put on. However with out knowing what I need to put the other wheel on. I tried to install the other wheel but it looks like I'm missing something that goes on top of the colum. When I put the wheel on I can still see the into the top of the colum, around the base of the wheel.

Next problem is that I'm not sure what pieces I need for the horn. Anyone have pics of the top of the colum blown apart so i can see what I'm missing.

The truck it's going on is a 1968 chevy and the wheel is a 60-65 custom steering wheel.

Thanks any help would be apperciated...

Regards...

Re: steering wheel pics

va_tlc,

Ok i'll be the first one to ask you. Why is it installed upside down?

I'm assume it was intentional..

Re: steering wheel pics

This is the only pic I could find on my laptop, but this is the wheel I'm currently using. I'm sure most of you recognize it as being from a mid 80s Chevy truck. They are a direct bolt on as far as I can remember.
